Reasons for founding: For all of the prisoners in jail or people who where accused and prosecuted because of their religion to leave that colony or England to start anew in Georgia. It was also founded to protect the middle colonies from attacks.
Date of Founding: 1733
Economy: Corn, wheat, and other farming resources.
Geography: Next to the Atlantic Ocean, with grassy plains.
Government: Followed the British government, and only trustees could make laws. There were governors appointed.
Celebrities/Important Residents: James Oglethorge
Religion: Lutherans, puritans, and Quakers. Catholics were not allowed.
Residency Requirements: Could not be a Christian or practice Christianity
Target Residents: People who were in debt, prisoners, and people who were accused and prosecuted.
